Research Interests:
  • Environmental and climate research in general
  • Air quality
  • Remote sensing of atmospheric composition
Current Research Activities:
Applied research on regional transport of atmospheric pollutants (ozone, NO2, aerosols) and their effect on climate. Projects include the forecasting of air pollution over the Netherlands and Europe with the LOTOS-EUROS model in combination with groundbased and/or satellite observations (MACC, PASODOBLE and SMOGPROG), the construction of a 4-dimensional aerosol distribution based on model and observations (GEOMON) and analysis of impact of (future) satellite AOD observations on the forecasting of PM (paper).
Projects: PASODOBLE, MACC, SMOGPROG , PROMOTE, GEOMON
